This keyboard is designed so all key row heights are the same. This allows you to switch the keys around and the key height of each key will remain the same. Nice feature in the event you want to change the layout of certain keys, or you can even return the keyboard back to standard Qwerty or another Dvorak layout. Comes with a Free key puller to make it easy to remove keys. For touch typists the index finger bumps ("nipples") are already installed on the U and H keys. A Free extra set of stick on "nipples" for future use is also included.

Great feature. It's called a Single Row Key Profile keyboard. Very few keyboards allow you to do this. Most keys tilt or are higher when you switch them around from their normal location on regular keyboards. This keyboard is designed so all key row heights are the same. This allows you to switch the keys around and the key height of each key will remain the same. Nice feature in the event you want to change the layout of certain keys.

There are two basic solutions. You can either buy a "dedicated" keyboard that has the Dvorak layout "hard wired’ into it (expensive and not really needed with todays operating systems), or use the keyboard layouts built into Windows and a "standard" keyboard (that's the type we sell on all our Dvorak Keyboards). See the Dvorak Conversion instructions link in the Installation Tab above. It's very easy to change the windows keyboard layout and at the touch of a icon on the bottom tray you can switch back and forth, this solution works for most people. **You may require a hardwired Dvorak keyboard if you use it on various systems, not all of which support keyboard remapping**.
